Sichuan Bohong acquires Wescast

Sichuan Bohong will acquire Wescast, the Canadian automobile parts manufacturer. The transaction is coming to its closing stage, and the implementation will be  executed by the end of this year. The transaction is announced to be the biggest Sino-foreign automobile parts acquisition as well as the biggest Sino-Canadian deal in  manufacturing sector.

Sichuan Bohong Group is a private group in Sichuan Province. It provides 3 major business and products, which are automobile parts, automobile retailing and  commercial real-estate. Wescast is a Canadian manufacturer, producing exhaust manifold and other automobile parts, listed in Toronto Stock Exchange. It is considered  as the leading player in its sector.

The transaction involves privatization, cross-border M&A, global integration and other tasks. To assure the success of the transaction, HICG assisted Bohong to  analyze the synergies and set up integration strategies. If the transaction proceeds successfully, it will be the cornerstone for global development of Bohong.
